Hiring: Hardware Engineer (Industrial Tablet / Handheld Terminal)
Location: Shenzhen
Responsibilities
1. Own hardware solution design for industrial tablets and handheld terminals, including schematic design, component selection and PCB review.
2. Debug and troubleshoot circuits for power management, charging, display and touch, camera, barcode scanning and fingerprint modules.
3. Work with structural engineers on unit stacking, thermal design and protection schemes, and on the electrical aspects of dust, water and drop resistance.
4. Follow up EMC, ESD and reliability testing, and complete rectification and verification.
5. Support pilot runs and volume ramp-up, handle hardware anomalies in mass production and propose corrective actions.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in electronics, automation, communications or a related field.
2. Solid knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design, with independent schematic design and debugging skills.
3. Proficient with Altium Designer, Cadence or similar tools, and familiar with basic PCB layout rules.
4. Familiar with USB, I2C, SPI, MIPI and UART interfaces, with awareness of signal integrity.
5. Experience with industrial or rugged terminal products is an advantage, as is experience with scanning, fingerprint or NFC modules.
6. Able to locate and resolve hardware issues independently, with clear communication and documentation habits.
